I believe that the Pyramid Model Approach of reaching out to children is long overdue. I believe this approach works. I have worked in the classrooms with children, as a Long Term Substitute Teacher. There were children that I encountered that had been labeled by other staff as being problem children. I believed the positive approach with positive reinforcement. I reached out to those children in this manner. I didn't realize at the time there was a name for it. But I always got positive responses from the children, over a period of time. The same children that were once problem children to some, turned out to be very constructive class leaders over a period of time, with less stress for me, the classmates, staff and parents. This is a great approach to ensuring the future of our younger generations to come.
